Our vision is for a healthy environment where communities can thrive.
We award grants to help communities improve their local environment. This is made possible by contributions from Veolia UK, using money from the Landfill Communities Fund
Projects
We support a diverse range of community and environmental projects across England. From nature reserves to sports clubs, and community centres to parks, we’re here to improve the wellbeing of communities living close to landfill sites. Here are just a few examples of projects we’ve funded…
-
Camley Street Natural Park, London
Our grant improved pathways and fencing, created new grasslands and hedgerows and enabled the planting of new trees.
-
Kirkstall Valley Farm, Leeds
Our grant enabled the creation of a volunteers’ workshop for learning and socialising and the installation of solar panels and battery storage.
-
Bosnia Herzegovina UK Network, Birmingham
Our grant funded the installation of new double glazed windows throughout this thriving community centre.
